Wash Care Instructions for Merino Wool

Due to merino wool's natural antimicrobial properties, your knitwear will not need frequent washing. We recommend rinsing with cool water and spot-cleaning stains. Refresh between washes by gently steaming.

• Hand wash with mild detergent, wool, or baby shampoo.
• Lay flat to dry on a towel.
• Use a gentle iron with slow steam to finish.
• To refresh your knitwear between wears and neutralise odours, use a steam iron to keep the knit looking fresh. Steam ironing reduces the need for frequent washing, making wool ideal for travel.
• Do not tumble dry, as wool will shrink in the dryer.

Why Hand Wash Only?

We use hand wash only wool because it’s softer, more comfortable, and better for the environment. Machine-washable merino is often treated with chemicals that can degrade over time, leading to pilling and loss of shape. By preserving the wool’s natural integrity through hand washing, your knitwear lasts longer, retains its softness, and remains eco-friendly.
